I'm starting this new blog venture because I've had numerous thoughts and feelings on the state of my nation, the United States of America, which have grown in number and intensity over the last few years. I'm using this site as an outlet for my thoughts and research and as a way to communicate my views to the public.
I've been posting on occasion to another blog post - WalakasEscape - in which I publicize my random thoughts on many subjects, from ear worm songs to synchronous fireflies to infuriating golf carts on major roads in Surfside Beach, SC. Go there for entertaining reads, rants, and raves.
Recently, though, my thoughts have become much more political, religious, and philosophical. So, I will republish some old posts that I think fit here and add new ones as time allows.
Fair warning: as the title hints, I'm a fan of the U.S. Constitution and feel like the liberties upon which our nation was founded have been whittled away, some completely. Our nation is becoming unrecognizable, and not in a wow-you've-dropped-quite-a-few-pounds-and-toned-up kind of way. Quite the opposite, really. We're becoming a statist utopian sundae, with a judicial oligarchy cherry on top. And the vast misinformed public is gobbling it up with a socialist soup ladle, blind to anything but the reality garbage on their flat panels. Meanwhile, the founders are turning handsprings in their graves and many of the anti-federalists are screaming, "See? Told ya so!" and The Almighty, perched upon His great golden lifeguard's chair, is putting His whistle to His mouth about to call the kiddies out of the pool.
So, if this intrigues you at all, I hope you'll come around from time to time to see what's happening in my America. Feel free to follow so you'll get updates when something new is posted. If history serves as an indicator, your E-mail box will not overflow with those updates, by the way. I'm a busy guy. But I also have A LOT on my mind. See you soon.
"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
